Automation and tech

Zapier, webhooks, email sequences and AI: the plumbing that removes work instead of adding it.

Automation pays off where a task repeats often enough to justify the setup and goes wrong rarely enough that nobody has to watch it. The articles here cover both sides: the connections between tools through Zapier, Make or webhooks, and the sequences that run inside the platform, from the welcome email to the reminder about an expiring subscription.

That includes the question of when automation is not worth it. A flow you need three times a year is faster by hand, and an automation without failure alerts eventually dies quietly. Where AI is involved, the article says what it decides and what stays with you.

Every article names the trigger, the condition and the action in exactly that order. Keeping those three parts apart is what makes a flow still readable half a year later.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I start?

With the flow that costs the most time today and has no exceptions. That is almost always the order: payment received, access granted, welcome email sent, contact tagged. Everything else comes after.

Do I need Zapier or is the platform enough?

Inside MemberArea the built-in triggers are enough. You need Zapier or Make as soon as an outside tool has to join in, a CRM or an accounting package for example.

What do I do when an automation fails?

It has to be able to tell you. Set up a notification for failed runs and check the logs after every change. A silent automation is more dangerous than none.
