Getting members
Reach, email lists, funnels and landing pages: the routes new members take to find you.
New members rarely arrive through a single channel. They arrive through a text someone read, an email that landed at the right moment, and a page that explains the offer in one sentence. The articles here cover both halves: the routes in, meaning search, newsletters, webinars and referrals, and what happens next, meaning landing page, signup, first email and the moment someone pays.
I write from my own sales work, with numbers I measure myself and without growth promises. When something only works in a particular niche, that is stated. Where a platform feature is meant, the setup comes with it.
One point shows up in almost every article: whoever signs up today decides about the renewal tomorrow. That is why the first week after signup belongs to acquisition just as much as the ad before it.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an email list before I launch?
Helpful, but not a condition. What matters more is collecting an address the moment someone shows interest. A list of fifty people who know you sells more than a thousand bought addresses. Start with a form on the page you already have.
What belongs on a landing page?
One sentence about who the offer is for, and a second about what is different afterwards. Below that the price, the terms and a single button. Anything that asks for a second decision costs signups.
Are webinars still worth it?
If your offer needs explaining, yes. A webinar replaces the sales call you would otherwise hold one at a time. Without that need, a good page does the job and you save yourself the appointment.
